*Instead, gently fold your Hanfu and store it flat or stack it neatly in a storage box or drawer.

Readily Available Items: These items are processed and shipped within 3 business days.

Preorder Items: Processing time for preorder items may range from 2 to 5 weeks, as indicated in the product description. Please refer to the estimated timeframe under the product description for an accurate processing duration.

If your order contains both readily available and preorder items and you wish to have them shipped separately, an additional USD 25 will apply. Please contact us to arrange this.  

Once your order has been dispatched, we cannot cancel, modify your order.

If there are any issues with your order — such as an item being out of stock or unavailable — we will notify you via email within 48 hours of receiving your order.

In the event that customs duties are declined at the time of delivery, the package is returned to us, please note that no refunds or cancellations will be provided. This is due to penalty charges imposed by the courier for the return shipment.

Haarnadeln waren für Frauen mit langem Haar unverzichtbar: Sie hielten das Haar fest, sorgten für eine ordentliche Frisur und sorgten den ganzen Tag über für Komfort. Diese funktionale Rolle machte Haarnadeln zu einem alltäglichen Muss für Frauen in der alten und traditionellen chinesischen Gesellschaft.

Was stellt eine Haarnadel dar?

In sozialer Hinsicht hatten Haarnadeln eine hohe symbolische Bedeutung. Bei Frauen zeigten bestimmte Haarnadelarten oft den Familienstand an; in manchen historischen Epochen trugen verheiratete Frauen eine bestimmte Haarnadel, um ihren Status zu signalisieren. Haarnadeln spiegelten auch den sozialen Status einer Person wider: Adlige bevorzugten kunstvolle Haarnadeln aus wertvollen Materialien wie Jade, Gold oder Silber, während Bürgerliche schlichtere Haarnadeln aus Holz oder Bambus trugen – jede Haarnadel erzählte eine Geschichte über die Herkunft ihrer Trägerin.

Was symbolisiert eine Haarnadel in der Liebe?

Haarnadeln wurden vor allem als Zeichen der Zuneigung zwischen Liebenden verwendet. In der traditionellen chinesischen Kultur schenkten sich Liebende oft eine Haarnadel als Zeichen ihrer Verbundenheit oder um tiefe Zuneigung auszudrücken, die sich nicht in Worte fassen ließ. Ein berühmtes Beispiel stammt aus Das Lied vom ewigen Kummer , ein klassisches Gedicht von Bai Juyi , einem berühmten Dichter der Tang-Dynastie . Das Gedicht enthält eine Zeile über eine Haarnadel: „Ich kann Ihnen nur alte Andenken schicken, um meine tiefe Zuneigung zu zeigen – ich sende Ihnen die eingelegte Schachtel und die goldene Haarnadel.“ Diese Zeile beschreibt, wie Yang Guifei (kaiserliche Konkubine Yang) im himmlischen Reich einem taoistischen Priester eine goldene Haarnadel (und andere Andenken) gab und ihn bat, die Haarnadel Kaiser Xuanzong von Tang zu bringen. Durch diese goldene Haarnadel drückte sie ihre unerschütterliche Liebe für den Kaiser aus und die Haarnadel selbst wurde zu einem Symbol ihrer einst wunderschönen, ewigen Liebe. Eine solche Haarnadel, als Zeichen gegeben, wurde immer als wertvolles Andenken geschätzt und hatte sowohl für den Schenkenden als auch für den Empfänger einen tiefen emotionalen Wert.

Welche anderen symbolischen Bedeutungen hat eine Haarnadel?

In China gibt es noch eine weitere schöne kulturelle Verbindung mit Haarnadeln: Das chinesische Wort für „Haarnadel“ (钗，chā) wird ähnlich ausgesprochen wie das Wort für „Reichtum“ (财，cái). Aus diesem Grund glauben viele Menschen, dass Haarnadeln implizit die glückverheißende Bedeutung haben, „Reichtum anzuziehen“ oder „Glück zu bringen“ – was diesem zeitlosen Accessoire zusätzlichen Charme verleiht.
