This is a traditional Chinese Ming Dynasty Clothing - Mamianqun (Mamian Skirt).
The Mamianqun is not only a beloved traditional dress among Chinese people but also highly favored by ladies in other countries. It combines intricate and exquisite decorative craftsmanship, flexible and diverse styling, and profound cultural heritage, showcasing the unique charm of Eastern aesthetics.

1. Mamianqun Material

This Mamian skirt in a subtle jacquard fabric with vining morning glory motifs: The vines are traced with fine threads like ink strokes and the morning glories have embossed petal textures in monochromatic but deep jacquard weaving reminiscent of dewy blooms. Woven in a high-density satin weave, it is smooth as moonlight and drapes naturally, letting the hidden floral patterns pop and fade with movement - like "lattice shadows of flowers on sheer silk."

2. Mamianqun Manufacturing Techniques

This mamainqun uses imitation Zhuanghua technique, embedding vibrant motifs via modern "continuous warp, discontinuous weft" weaving. The striking color contrast creates a luminous effect, reviving the classic charm of "changing hues per flower." It balances machine-woven smoothness with handcrafted richness, showcasing neo-Chinese elegance through clean lines.

3. Mamianqun Patterns

This Mamian skirt mixes Kintsugi (golden repair) and blue-and-white porcelain. It juxtaposes intact blue-and-white (twining lotus) patterns with fragmented porcelain textures: the former imitates ancient ceramic glazes in gradient hues and the latter are joined by gilded cracks in the Kintsugi tradition as a symbol of broken porcelain's rebirth. Vining morning glories in jacquard weave surround the hem and pendant tassels in porcelain' (Buddhist beadwork) style. The play of ceramic shadows and golden seams as it moves not only honors the imperfection of Eastern aesthetics but also lengthens the silhouette with vertically extended motifs reinterpreting tradition in a new, modern way.

*Store your Hanfu in breathable garment bags to keep it clean and protected.
*Avoid hanging for long periods, as this can stretch or distort the fabric.
*Instead, gently fold your Hanfu and store it flat or stack it neatly in a storage box or drawer.
