Hand-wash Only with your hanfu shoes & boots as most hanfu shoes are handmade. Following these basic cleaning steps will ensure clean the shoes and won’t break:

(1) For mild stains on the shoe upper, gently wipe with a cotton cloth. For heavy dirt, use a soft-bristled brush dipped in water to scrub off the stains, and then dry the shoes with the soles facing up in the shade.
(2) Never expose the shoes to direct sunlight. If they need to be dried, wrap them with multiple layers of tissue paper to prevent the shoes from yellowing.
(3) Avoid friction and scraping against hard objects when wearing the shoes.
