*After washing, air-dry indoors in a well-ventilated area.Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause color fading.

The Mamianqun (Mamian Skirt) in the picture is a traditional Chinese Ming Dynasty Clothing with unique charm.
The Mamianqun is a traditional Chinese garment belonging to the lower skirt style of Hanfu, named after the "horse face" (smooth front panel) in the center of the skirt. Originating in the Song Dynasty and flourishing in the Ming Dynasty, it is composed of two panels forming a total of four skirt panels, with symmetrical front panels separated by "lán gàn" (decorative strips). Often embroidered with patterns of flowers, auspicious beasts, etc., it combines dignity and agility.

1. Mamianqun Design

This Mamianqun design from a midsummer reverie: golden plumes flutter, tinting feathers with orchid hues, while myriads of stars cascade from the night sky. When these gilded feathers and stardust interweave across the fabric, they weave a poetic symphony of light and plumage for the season.
This new Chinese-style light gray stand-collar shirt harmonizes perfectly with the skirt: metal frog closures gleam like full moons, casting ripples of radiance across the placket. Crafted from silk-mixed fabric, the garment feels as smooth as drifting clouds against the skin.
The lantern sleeves, tailored to cinch at the wrists, flutter like butterfly wings with each move, accentuating a crescent-like curve at the waist—every step exudes the graceful poise of Oriental elegance.

2. Mamianqun Material

This Mamianqun has delicate damask jacquard patterns. This material feels incredibly soft and smooth against the skin, like moonlight, for ultimate wearing comfort and visual sophistication. Consisting of 95% polyester and 5% metallic yarn.

3. Mamianqun Manufacturing Techniques

This Mamianqun uses the imitation zhuanghua weave and gold-thread brocade, creating a tapestry of cascading opulence: the tightly-woven fabric boasts a waterfall-like drape, where golden light shimmers like ink-splashed scrolls in motion. Hidden patterns flutter like butterfly wings across the texture, embodying Oriental aesthetics' understated luxury—reverberating with the grandeur of ancient brocades while embracing modern design's subtle edge.

4. Mamianqun Patterns

This Mamianqun's pattern is blue-gray-black palette evokes a black swan dancing in gilded twilight: the ombre hem fades from inky blue-black to misty gray upwards, like night fog drifting through starlight. This chromatic gradient uses visual perspective to elongate the silhouette, mimicking the elegant stretch of a swan's neck with every step.

If you love Chinese culture and are drawn to Chinese aesthetic but unsure where to start, the Mamianqun is your perfect gateway piece. It pairs seamlessly with traditional Chinese Hanfu tops to revive classical elegance, while also complementing modern staples like shirts or sweaters for a distinctively New Chinese Style. Bridging past and present with effortless versatility, it embodies the timeless philosophy that "tradition is fashion," ensuring every outfit combination shines with unique charm, whether you’re embracing heritage or making a modern style statement.
