This is a highly renowned Round Fan from ancient China. Its exquisite design makes it perfect for pairing with Hanfu dress in daily wear, as well as serving as an elegant prop for dance performances.
1. Chinese Folding fans' Material
The fan's surface is crafted with bamboo weaving technique, featuring delicate motifs of birds - symbolizing vitality； purple roses - symbolizing romance, green bamboo - symbolizing integrity, and lotus emerging from water—symbolizing purity respectively. The arrow bamboo handle offers a natural and comfortable grip, further enhancing the fan's overall elegant temperament.
2. Chinese Folding Fans' Pattern
The first Chinese Folding Fan is Called "bird perching on a branch" pattern, with a lucky bird resting on a gnarled branch. This carries the traditional meaning of "magpies on branches bringing joy" while the branch represents prosperity associated with "jade-like trees and ornate branches" and metaphorically suggests "advancement to higher stations" from the bird's perch. With winding vine motifs, it wishes for "eternal family prosperity and eternal blessings."
The second Chinese Folding Fan is Called "Crape Myrtle in Bloom" pattern, for its long blooming season, the purple flowers of the crape myrtle represent "purple air coming from the east" (purple is associated with nobility in Chinese culture). This also references the Song Dynasty term "Crape Myrtle Scholar," which suggests career advancement. The design is executed in brushwork and framed by winding vines that wish for eternal prosperity and unending good fortune, and the enduring blooms metaphorically represent longing relationships.
The Third Chinese Folding Fan is Called "White Plum and Green Bamboo", This plum bears the verse "No need to boast of its beauty, but leave a pure fragrance in the world," which blooms in winter like congealed fat. The hollow-stemmed bamboo with its jointed resilience is symbolic of "Having integrity before Po Tu appears from the earth" and "Having humility before Po Tu appears from the clouds"; their union is symbolic of "sincere friendship like clear water" and "Having humility before Po Tu appears from the clouds."
The forth Chinese Folding Fan is Called "Lotus Emerging from Water", It is paired with curled Lotus leaves and dripping pearls to recall the pure, upright fragrance from the Love of lotus. The motif is associated with moral integrity ("untarnished by the mud") as well as auspiciousness ("lotus" homophones with "continuity" in Chinese, "numerous successful births of noble offspring"). Its nine petal layers bring eternal longevity. It combines elegance with opulence and uses aquatic charm to wish for spiritual clarity and eternal good luck.

*Avoid hanging for long periods, as this can stretch or distort the fabric.
*Instead, gently fold your Hanfu and store it flat or stack it neatly in a storage box or drawer.
